Born and raised in Minneapolis, Minnesota, Devinair grew up in a single-parent household as the eldest of three siblings. He loved to be the center of attention using his imagination and creativity to entertain his family. Very often, as he loved performing as a young child, Devinair’s mother would film home videos of him in which sparked his dream of becoming an actor. 

Years later, Devinair enrolled in college studying Marketing. He quickly realized that his heart was in theater and switched majors. He was casted in several plays and musicals including a touring show For the Sake of the Children, that starred platinum R&B recording artist Gary "Lil G" Jenkins, from Silk. During one of his shows, Devinair was scouted by a talent agent and was soon casted in national ads and commercials for Target, Best Buy and Wells Fargo.

After years of acting and modeling in Minneapolis, Devinair packed up his car and headed to Los Angeles to pursue a career in television and film. Since the move, he’s studied with renowned acting coaches Ivana Chubbuck and Margie Haber. 

As of today Devinair has been casted as leads in web series, multiple short films, including the Oscar-Nominated Dekalb-Elemantary, and a lead in a feature film set to be released in Spring 2021.
